Pi-Day

Heard of New Years Day? Valentines Day? Thanks giving day? Whats Pi-day?

Pi Day is a special day in the lives of many a nerd. Just like normal people celebrate Valentine’s Day or National Pancake Day, nerds around the world will gather and join hands in the shape whose ratio of its circumference to its diameter is the most revered mathematical constant in the known universe. Pi Day is observed on March 14 (in the mm/dd date notation: 3/14); since 3, 1 and 4 are the first three digits of π.

Sometimes Pi Minute is also celebrated; this occurs on March 14 at 1:59 p.m. If π is truncated to seven decimal places, it becomes 3.1415926; making March 14 at 1:59:26 p.m., Pi Second (or sometimes March 14, 1592 at 6:53:58 a.m.). An upcoming Pi Day in 2015 will have the date 3-14-15 and a Pi Second of 9:26:53.589… a.m.

So what’s this blog about?

Another attempt? Well yes. Attempting to figure out another sustainable model (there are some other attempts going on parallel-ly). Well, we have a lot of questions in mind. we read up stuff, we do some research to find answers to these questions. This is an attempt to publish that little 15-20 minute research.
